Earlier this week, the union committee met together to prepare for negotiations and discussed the results of the member surveys, focusing on what was most important to the membership.
On Friday, the committee met for negotiations with the employers, presented the proposals, and took the time to explain why these items were being proposed.
The committee informed the employers that we would be presenting important non-economic items first, and when appropriate, would present economic proposals.
The employers listened to the committee talk about issues and concerns at work and explain why the proposals were so important. Additional days have been scheduled on May 8, 20, June 11 & 24.
