GET INVOLVED!!
Join your Contract Action Team
We have to be ready to face the challenges in contact bargaining.
We
need our membership to be educated,
ready, and engaged.
Now more than ever before, we must stand together and be strong. Greedy corporate
giants, like Wal-Mart, flooding the market share have put our contracts in
jeopardy. Employers are coming to the table with wage and benefit rollbacks, so
they can be more profitable. Most of our employers are making more money and
profits than ever before, but the green-eyed monster of greed - Wal-Mart’s
corporate example - has inspired employers to follow their lead, with low wages,
little or no benefits (Health and Welfare), or benefits that cost the employee
so much out of pocket that the employee has no choice but to choose no insurance
or a state-funded plan for low income families.
How can you get involved?
One of the ways you can become involved and active in the bargaining process is
to participate in a Contract Action Team (CAT).
Contract Action Team members work with the Negotiations Team to help communicate
what’s happening at the bargaining table. The CAT members talk one-on-one with
co-workers and give feedback to the Negotiations Team.
Contract
Action Team members:
