Way Labor Community Services
Since 1946, the United Way and the
AFL-CIO have enjoyed a cooperative partnership. Together, they help
improve the lives of working people in the community and help
connect local employers and employees to human services in the
community.
In Pierce County, Labor Community Services coordinates the
involvement of organized labor in the Campaign, helps families and
individuals find appropriate services, and provides training for
working people to help their union brothers and sisters.

of Pierce County 211 Connect
211 connects people with the health and human services they need. We
are a free, comprehensive information and referral service
connecting more than 17,000 callers to services such as rental
assistance, counseling, health care, housing and shelter, and much
more. Information and Referral Specialists offer compassion,
understanding, and advocacy to 211 callers.
The 211 call center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., with 24-hour voice mail.
