Local 367 2008 Scholarship Winners
Each year, Local 367 awards
several $500 scholarships for its members and/or their sons and
daughters. This year, the winners were: graduating high school
senior attending college: James Beierle, Nicole Medley, and Justin
Trautman. Debbie L. White won the scholarship for “Adult Returning
to College.”
Justin Trautman has worked as a
Courtesy Clerk at Top Food 17 in Lake Tapps for the last two years
while he was a student at Auburn Riverside High School. Justin
recently graduated from high school and will be attending Green
River Community College’s Natural Resources Program, where he will
pursue his goal of becoming a game warden. He hopes to transfer to
Montana State to continue his education.

Nicole Medley has worked at
Safeway 1546 as a Helper Clerk in Aberdeen and plans to be a
physical therapist, attending Edmunds Community College.
James Beierle has worked at Safeway 1619 Yelm as a Helper Clerk. He
plans to major in business – entrepreneur international business. He
will attend Washington State University in Pullman.
Debbie L. White is the Florist at
Mega 650 Tumwater. She is attending Evergreen State College,
continuing toward her goal of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and
focusing on neuroscience research. Local 367 is proud to be able to
help Debbie to further her education and her dream of graduating
from Evergreen before her 50th birthday.
