Meat Apprenticeship

Our meat apprenticeship program is a state-sponsored joint apprenticeship program between UFCW367 and employers.

Our program consists of 288 Related supplemental instruction hours (RSI) and 4000 on-the-job training hours.

Which ends up being about 2 years with sessions in 10-week blocks.

As a registered apprenticeship program working in partnership with Bates Technical College, you can not only earn your Journey-person meat cutters card but also apply credit towards a degree if you choose to further your education.

If you are interested in joining our program and working our trade contact us and speak to your supervisor about job opportunities. Our program strives to teach everything you will need to know to be a skilled meat cutter as well as the skills needed as the leaders of the future, the inner workings of the industry, and the history of how interconnected it has always been with the innovation and industrialization of our nation from the 1800s to today. We strive to give you the tools you need to be an expert in your field and an integral part of our community.
