Kian Alden

Kian comes from a background of retail work as a produce clerk, cashier, and replenishment clerk at Fred Meyer where he was a shop steward. He has also spent time in the food service and agricultural industries. After working at UPS local-sort he was recruited to be an organizer with the Teamsters. At the Teamsters Kian learned how to organize workers and participated in the UPS contract campaign and strike drive. The experience he gained as an organizer at the Teamsters will help him grow the power of UFCW members as they fight for stronger contracts in the future. Outside of work Kian enjoys gardening, carpentry, and hiking around his rural Lewis County home.
