Our member-led negotiating team is making serious progress at the table!

During our most recent session, we stayed at the table late into the night, until 1:00 AM, pushing hard for real gains. We’ve made significant headway on core issues, including wages, strengthening our meat apprenticeship program, and more.
While this is a big step forward, we’re not done yet. There are still critical items to resolve before we can bring members a tentative agreement.
UFCW 367 remains committed to full transparency; every member deserves access to the full details of what’s on the table before a vote is called.
To Whom It May Actually Concern,
Let’s not pretend we don’t all see what’s going on here.
I’ve worked at Fred Meyer for the last three years, most recently as a meat wrapper. I’ve rotated through multiple departments, gotten my hands dirty, and seen this company from angles most execs and union reps probably couldn’t survive for a week in. And what I’ve seen—day in, day out—is the same tired play: understaffed departments, burned-out workers juggling three roles for one paycheck, leadership passing the buck, and a union that shows up every few years with a vague bargaining update that could’ve been generated by a PR intern in a closet with a thesaurus and a time limit.
This latest “update”…
Wage increases need to be at least as much as last contract, Also, everyone should get the same amount of increase in pay. No, trying to get us all the same hourly rate. We don't all do the same work. When you compare pickup to produce and the meat department it is not even close to the same amount of physical labor and responsibility. These departments should be paid more.
Where’s the transparency you always talk about? I don’t see it. If you were indeed transparent you would tell us what is going on and not beat around the bush. Do better!

I'm currently receiving my pension since I filed for retirement when I was 65 years old and had enough credit years to get it. The problem is there is no COLA after receiving your pension. Years from now, that pension won't be worth anything due to inflation. Years ago, my mother who worked at a Wonder Bread outlet store and was a union member for the Seattle area Local 3000 received a monthly COLA for her pension but that went away.
