Zaid Velasco

Zaid has been a union staff employee for over 4 years. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a receptionist at the local for a year then moved into the organizing department where he spent 3 years. He has helped 367 get wall-to-wall in our Fred Meyer stores and worked on multiple campaigns with the international. His favorite part of his job is educating workers on their rights and empowering them to organize and take action against management or the employer as a whole. When Zaid is not busy working he enjoys working out, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family.
